Intertidal marsh (IM)

The vegetated tidal wetland zone, designated IM on an inventory map, lying generally between average high and low tidal elevation. The predominant vegetation in this zone is low marsh cordgrass, Spartina alterniflora. (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation)
